Things did not go as planned this week! I know I said in my last post that I was going to learn house hold items and continue with my numbers, but I thought it would be a good idea to push myself harder with it being the last lesson for class. So, this week I decided to learn Canada's National Anthem. I was inspired to learn the national anthem because of TikToks of people signing songs, so I thought I would give it a shot. If I am being honest this was one of the hardest tasks in my learning project. It took me a while to find the right video to follow along with. Most videos were very different from each other, whether that was their speed or the different ways to sign the anthem. After about watching 5 videos that did not work for me I finally found the perfect one. I watched and learned from hwilsond1 on YouTube. Her video was the only one that I could really follow along too because she went at a decent speed. I watched her video multiple times in a row and also had to record myself multiple times too, there are a lot of bloopers. Overall, I really enjoyed learning Canada's National Anthem for my final lesson, I think it will be a great asset for my future classroom as well. Here is this weeks video on me signing the National Anthem.

Your dedication to learning ASL is inspiring! Learning this language is on my list of things I want to learn! And the wonderful thing about plans IS that they can be changed! Love your choice this week to tackle and perform O 🇨🇦 for us

Seeing you marry sign-language with rhythm had me thinking about what relationship ASL might have with dance and music! It's something I'd like to look into.
