Hannah Magnusson
I am a fourth year student at the University of Regina in the Faculty of Education.
Since a young age my parents have always called me Helpful Hannah. They have always called me this because I always wanted to be helping others finish projects and wanting to help my parents around the house even if they didn't need the help. This nickname as grown with me throughout my years of growing up and is what helps define who I am as a person.
When I was in grade 4 I took a babysitting course at the YMCA and that's when I knew that I wanted to become a teacher because I loved seeing the kids so happy and expressing themselves in different ways. Both of my parents are teachers, my mom is the music teacher at Leboldus high school and my dad was a principal at Sacred Heart community school until last year when he got a superintended job at the Regina Catholic School Board. They both inspire me everyday to become a better teacher and to always learn and grow from peers.
I have also been a dancer for the past 16 years and the past 6 years I have been on staff as assistant teacher and head teacher at the studio. I love going to the studio because the kids are all so welcoming and I love hearing about their days from school and all coming together at the end of the day to do something we all love; dance.
